6. Consolidation and Presentation
Summary of the Lesson
The author recalls his childhood days spent with his grandfather, who loved trees and nature. Grandfather planted many trees in his garden and also planted saplings in forests and on a small island in a dry river-bed. He believed that trees were essential for people, animals, birds, rainfall, and preventing deserts. Years later, after returning to Dehradun, the author visited the island and found it transformed into a green paradise filled with trees, birds, and animals. The trees planted long ago had multiplied and flourished, making Grandfather's dream come true. The lesson highlights the importance of protecting and planting trees.
