3. Introduction
The teacher introduces the lesson by asking the following questions:
How many books do you have in your school bag?
If there is one pen, what do we call it? What if there are five pens?
What do we call one child? What do we call many children?
Can every noun form its plural by simply adding -s?
Why do we use singular and plural nouns?
Introduction to the Lesson:
The teacher explains that nouns refer to people, places, animals, or things. When we speak about one person or thing, we use the singular form. When we speak about more than one, we use the plural form. Today, we will learn the rules for forming plural nouns.
